Emmy and 8-time NAACP Image award-winning P. Frank Williams is a versatile and veteran showrunner and executive producer with two decades of experience in Film/Tv and journalism. Williams was the Co-EP of BET’s and Critical Content’s anti-police brutality series “Copwatch America.” He was hired by Harvey Levin to be at EP for a TMZ produced series and also was the Supervising Producer for FOX’s “Who Shot Biggie and Tupac.” And along with civil rights attorney Ben Crump, the Oakland native served as an on-camera investigator and producer of the A&E Biography series about the murder of Tupac Shakur.
Williams worked for years as a producer of over 20 episodes of Tv One’s acclaimed music biography series Unsung and Unsung Hollywood. He also produces BET’s hit documentary American Gangster, which profiles infamous crime figures.
In 2015, he was the Executive Producer/ Showrunner of the Centric/BET Networks docu-series Being. His company Prophet From It Entertainment produced the show. A graduate of the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, he is the former Executive Editor of The Source Magazine and was a reporter at the LA Times, where he covered news, pop culture, and music.
